At the Faculty Honors Convocation, the University of Pittsburgh gathers to pay tribute to the outstanding achievements of our faculty members that characterize the quality of academic life at the University of Pittsburgh. We also applaud the many contributions that these individuals make to the institution and the local community.

Instructions for Honorees

The following instructions are for everyone who will be honored at the event:

  • Please arrive at Alumni Hall by 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 3. The ceremony begins at 3 p.m.  
  • The celebration of honored faculty continues with a reception immediately following the event in the Connolly Ballroom, Alumni Hall. No tickets are necessary.
  • If you have a disability and require special accommodations to fully participate in the ceremony, please advise the Office of Special Events at 412-624-7100. We ask for your cooperation in notifying us as soon as possible.

The Faculty Honors Convocation is by invitation only.

Should I wear regalia?

Regalia is not a part of this ceremony, and it should not be worn at the event.

Where can I park?

Paid parking is available in Soldiers and Sailor Memorial Parking Garage and at various University-operated garages on campus. Parking is also available at the metered spaces around Alumni Hall.
